In the last few decades, Actuarial Science has shown significant progress in the systematic analysis and study of the insurance problems associated with the "General Insurance" sectors.
A characteristic example is the multitude of models (mathematical models) that have been developed for the automobile insurance sector.
This manuscript primarily addresses the mathematical (statistical and probabilistic) methods for approaching the problems of General Insurance (or Accident Insurance) and was compiled as part of the university lectures of the corresponding course taught in the Department of Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business.
