First of all, I want to say that I am not here to review the game, I think everyone more or less knows what it is about. I will not question how good botw is, of course it is an experience/must buy game, of course it is worth the money for its durability/gameplay/graphics/being able to discover new things and surprises even after 100 hours. These are all given and absolutely true.

From my perspective, I want to mention how good the Wii U version is. Well, without exaggeration, I can't understand how Nintendo managed to run such a large game on our neglected Wii U. It is unbelievable visually, with minimal differences compared to the Switch version, possibly a small frame rate issue that you wouldn't even notice if you're not an expert. Also, very important, the physical version fits even in the white 8gb Wii U. Because I often encounter this question, YES, if you have a white Wii U, you can definitely enjoy the full experience. The prerequisite, of course, is not to have other games installed and to have 3gb of free space. The update is around 2.5gb and the saves are small.

I will say one last thing, and I may sound like a fanboy, coming from playing the beasts of the PS4 (Yakuza 0 / Nioh / Nier / Persona 5 / Horizon, etc.) in 2017, I played botw... I don't know if it's better, but it is definitely something unique and different.

Exceptional game and absolutely necessary if you have children with a Wii U. From my experience with the first Zelda game from 1986, I can honestly tell you that you will spend endless hours of searching and adventuring in its chaotic world. It has already swept the game of the year awards, which is very important considering the amazing games of 2017! If you have a Wii U, this is one of the few games that truly defines the right choice of purchasing it.

Imagine the size: 12 times larger than the immediately smaller Zelda Twilight Princess! I am at 400+ hours of gameplay and I plan on playing until the second DLC, which is expected soon (counting my gaming in Master Mode, which is a new difficulty that unlocks when you purchase the pack of 2 DLCs, so we are talking about 500 hours). Many secrets, many battles, many items, EPIC.

After the updates, you won't even notice the drop rate of frames (there was a small issue at the beginning, but now it's almost eliminated) and don't even listen to anyone saying that the game is inferior to the corresponding title on the Switch, as the title was made 100% for the Wii U and they simply delayed it to release it for the Switch on the new console's release date. In fact, they had to cut some things to make it 100% compatible with the Switch (they didn't use the notepad at all, as they had said).

There is something that it doesn't have compared to the Switch. It's a channel that you download on the console (not even available for Wii U) called "Breath of the Tips," but honestly, it doesn't add anything substantial. It occasionally gives you some items that are very easy to find in the game and suggests some recipes that you can easily look up on the internet to see what they do, so you won't have missed anything at all.

100/100. Bravo to Nintendo for proving once again that it's worth waiting to make something perfect rather than just making something very good and rushing it due to demand.
