This book records and comments on the experimentation of two school educators from Western Athens, specifically from the 2nd Gymnasium of Petroupoli, who, in collaboration with their principal, decided to move away from traditional teacher-centered instruction and adopt group-based schoolwork.
The experimentation arose as a follow-up to the international program Carpe Vitam. Leadership for Learning, in which the school participated for three years. The book holds value as it does not remain solely in the realm of ideological discussions and controversies but proceeds to an authentic classroom experimentation for which there is sufficient testimony.
It is derived from the diaries kept by the two educators during their experimentation, complemented by the testimony of the students on how they experienced and evaluated the endeavor themselves.
