To honor the hundred years since the birth of Carl Barks, ten illustrators and four writers wrote ten stories, each of which brings to the forefront one of the heroes created by Barks.

Carl Barks, one of the most important creators in the field of the Ninth Art, is the man who wrote and illustrated the most classic stories with Donald Duck. To complement Donald, he created a plethora of new heroes who, for over half a century, entertain readers and inspire new stories for his fellow artists. Barks created the inventor Gyro Gearloose and his assistant Helper, the lucky Gladstone Gander, the cunning witch Magica De Spell, the Beagle Boys gang, Donald's arch-neighbor Mr. Jones, the ruthless tycoon Flintheart Glomgold, Daisy's three mischievous nieces April, May, and June, the legendary Junior Woodchucks, and especially Scrooge McDuck, the richest and most dynamic duck in comics. To honor the 100th anniversary of Barks' birth, four writers and ten illustrators each created a story that brings one of his great heroes to the forefront.
