We got this costume for Carnival this year and we really enjoyed it. Anyone who saw us on the street during our way to school would stop to admire it, as well as the kids at my son's nursery who wanted him to take it off so they could wear it! We laughed a lot and had a great time with it! Although someone might think it's expensive, I should clarify that it's for ages 6 to 10. Of course, my son will wear it again and again...

Also, while I was initially worried that the fabric would tear (kids are not careful), it held up perfectly well at school and when he wore it again on Carnival Sunday. Even when it sags a bit in the middle due to its weight (minimal weight), it's very easy for the child to fix the lacing on their own. It requires batteries for the little motor that blows air and inflates it, which you won't run out of no matter how much you use it during the Carnival season. I'll give a piece of advice at this point and say that you shouldn't forget to remove the batteries when storing it because it's likely to get damaged.

One slight downside is that the hat will arrive a bit wrinkled and you can't completely straighten it out, although I didn't try lightly ironing it with fabric on top. And the motor makes a bit of noise in the quiet of the house, but it's covered up by laughter!
