As the newest employee of Nook’s Homes, a real estate company run by Tom Nook, it’s up to you to design amazing homes that fit each animal's preferences. Talk to potential clients to find out what kind of home they would prefer, and test your decorating skills to create ideal spaces, both indoors and outdoors. Get rid of gloomy decor and give each of your friends a place to call “home, sweet home”!
Choose a piece of land, customize the appearance of the house and even the landscape of the garden, then step inside to renovate the interior as you wish: use simple touchscreen controls to place and move furniture wherever you want, and customize the room from floor to ceiling. Let your imagination run wild and interpret every animal's request as you see fit, but be sure to include their favorite items they already own!
You’ll be adding more and more items to your collection each time you complete a request, giving you even more design possibilities for future projects. You can also use Play Coins to expand your horizons and discover new aspects of home design: learn how to decorate ceilings, create your own patterns, customize furniture, and more!
In addition to designing homes, team up with Isabelle to develop facilities in the town, such as schools, shops, and restaurants. Apply your home design talent and the town plaza will expand in no time. As the plaza grows, more and more animals will appear outside Nook’s Homes, waiting for you to help them.
Show off the home designs you are most proud of, or check out the competition and get inspired by the efforts of other players. You can snap photos of your designs at any time and share special moments with the world through social networks. With the Happy Home Network, you can even upload your creations, check out suggestions from other players, and rate their work or participate in design contests!
With amiibo cards and amiibo figures (sold separately), you can connect directly with your favorite animal friends and design their homes without waiting for them to appear outside Nook’s Homes first. With special amiibo cards or amiibo figures, you can also design the homes of characters who don’t usually make requests, like Isabelle and K.K. You can even invite animals to any houses you have created or assign them roles in town facilities when using an amiibo!
