The Audio-Technica ATH-A990Z closed-back headphones use 53 mm dynamic drivers for Hi-Res Audio playback. OFC bobbin-wound voice coils, integrated driver yokes and top-mounted PCBs contribute to high-resolution response, transient response and smooth airflow around the diaphragm.

The lightweight aluminum housings reduce unwanted resonance and incorporate the Double Air Damping System (D.A.D.S.) for deep bass reproduction. The 3D wing support system and soft ear pads help ensure a comfortable fit. The fabric-sheathed cable is 3 m long.
