Having been engaged for many years with the book of Triodion, I have noticed the existence within it, as it stands today, a multitude of grammatical, syntactical, and metrical errors, which unfortunately are repeated and perpetuated, and others are added due to the lack of substantial care in the publication of the book.

For the correction of these errors, I resorted to a limited study of Athonite manuscripts from the microfilm collection of the Patriarchal Foundation for Patristic Studies in Thessaloniki. The over seven hundred observations that arose from this effort have been published in a separate volume titled "Corrections and Observations on the Triodion" (published by University Studio Press, Thessaloniki 2006).

However, further research of the manuscripts has led me to many additional observations concerning the need to correct many of the existing printed writings, to confirm the corrections proposed by me, and in some cases to revise my corrective suggestions.

I deemed it appropriate to make these new observations public through this present issue, with the hope that these two issues will serve as a useful basis for a future improved publication of the Triodion as much as possible.
