I have been using this product for 5 years and yes, it does clean the face very well. However, it leaves the skin feeling tight, meaning a little dry, afterwards. I always follow up with a good moisturizer to balance out the result. For acne, there are much better options on the market. Personally, I believe that this soap is not targeted towards the needs of someone with acne, but for those who want a classic, affordable facial soap, it is quite reliable. I hope I helped

I do not recommend it for normal skin because it dries it out.
And a tip for those who tend to have acne:
No cleanser, no matter how strong it is, is enough on its own.
To clean the pores from accumulated oil, "mechanical extraction" is also needed.
Put the cleanser on a thin, damp cloth and rub this cloth on the skin in a vertical axis on the face (mouth, nose, center of the forehead).
Washing the face with just hands does not adequately clean these areas.
I wish I had discovered it earlier, I wouldn't have had so many pimples in my adolescence...
