Dyslexia is still often treated as a serious social and cognitive disability. This is why the idea was born, creating the need for a manual that explains how to recognize the signs, what tools to use for intervention in clinical and school environments, and what the correct interpretation should be for an incident that is often over- or under-estimated.
This book aims to debunk labels and clichés, providing a structured and clear analysis of the problem and explaining the function of reading in the inferior processes: language, visual perception, and attention (and their interaction). This is important because no dyslexic person is the same as another.
The key word of the proposed method is "training," a complete and specialized "gym" for the mind. The section dedicated to playful-recreational exercises allows us to train the child while entertaining them and sparking their interest in reading with images, stories, or hands-on activities, which in turn serve as steps for a preparatory journey.
