This edition is part of a series of publications celebrating the 90 years of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), as decided by the Central Committee of the Party. It was realized under the coordination of the Ideological Committee of the Central Committee of the KKE and through the hard work of the communists associated with our publishing house. It is the result of the specialized work of communists, particularly in the artistic sector, along with the multifaceted work activities and the creative spark that often drives the members of the KKE, regardless of their professional specialization or party obligations.

The album "90 years KKE 1918-2008" could not have been created without the personal dedication of communists who devoted endless hours to searching for unpublished photographs and crafting captions, to locating pages from the Historical Archive of the KKE, and to selecting from the thousands of documents of the Party, including poems and other literary pieces that transformed the flame and inspiration ignited by the KKE's actions into creative works.

The task of selecting the material proved to be much more difficult than anticipated, as the archival and visual material gathered far exceeded the quantity included (1,070 images) in this album. The 90 years of existence and action of the KKE, dedicated to the historic mission of liberating the working class and, along with it, all those oppressed by the ills of capitalist exploitation, intertwined with the struggles of the working class and the impoverished strata of society, with key moments of class struggle in Greece, cannot be contained within the pages of an album, no matter how many pages there are.

However, these pages can provide knowledge about the history of the KKE, stimulate interest in study and deeper understanding, foster creative critical thinking regarding its heroic path, and inspire new creation, and above all, encourage engagement in class struggle through its ranks. Therefore, the reader will allow us to assert that it is a "youthful" publication particularly addressed to young people, to the members and cadres of KNE, to the workers of the younger generations, and generally to socially conscious younger individuals.
