In all programs, there are the undeniable ideas and visions for the kind of society we want to shape and the kind of people we want our students to be or become. How will they communicate with others, how will they form their own identity, how will they recognize and fulfill their own responsibilities, and how will they make their own choices?

We must dedicate much more time than we usually spend to examine the process of shaping the child's personality. The interdisciplinary approach is valuable because it provides opportunities for all the subject areas of the curriculum to be unified and conceptualized. It helps children understand how different principles from many different subject areas relate to each other.

It builds relationships within knowledge, allows for authentic learning, and encourages problem-solving. Individual needs and interests are respected, and children actively participate in the learning process.
