OXI Publications presents an original series of notebooks. Using pencil and eraser, the well-known graphic designer Paris Koutsikos designs letters.

Each design follows the shape and dynamics of the letter. The components of each composition emerge along the way, based more on intuition, balance, and humor.

Inevitably, the result is surreal compositions consisting of familiar but also non-existent objects, mysterious shapes, imaginary animals, faces and body parts cut off and isolated, an aesthetic reminiscent of comics and psychedelia, conditions of weightlessness, visual games, intense light and shadow contrasts, decorative elements borrowed from various cultures, forms that simply serve the balance of the composition.

The combination of letters to form words gives a different dynamic to the visual aesthetics of each word.
