An extensive and detailed presentation of the factors and variables that influence the developmental trajectory of individuals with visual impairments is attempted, based on international literature.

The publication of this work aims to enrich the Greek literature on issues concerning the cognitive, linguistic, motor, and socio-emotional development of individuals with visual impairments. The starting point is the fact that children with vision loss or impairment face many challenges during their development and are also called upon to manage various issues related to their smooth adaptation to the broader social fabric.
