Description

Description

80 Plus Gold certified power supply with semi-modular wiring for low power consumption and easy installation. The 120mm diameter self-regulating fan maintains the temperature at normal levels, quietly and efficiently.

80 PLUS Gold

It has 80 PLUS Gold certification, which means it provides clean power that reaches 85% of its total efficiency.

The highly efficient operation of the TX series leads to lower energy consumption and lower operating costs. Since it produces less heat, the fan does not need to work as hard and you will enjoy almost silent operation.

Semi-modular wiring

The flat black cables and the semi-modular design allow the user to use only the cables needed for a cleaner appearance with better airflow. The motherboard and CPU power cables are integrated. Connection indicators make installation quick and easy.

Compact Design

The TX-M series cases have a length of only 140mm, ensuring easy application in almost all modern computer cases.

Reliability during use

For stable, reliable power and exceptional electrical performance, each power supply in the TX-M series features LLC resonant topology with DC-DC conversion and Japanese capacitors rated at 105°C. With precise timing, the TX-M supports Microsoft Modern Standby, ensuring extremely fast wake-up times from sleep and better performance at low loads.

Connectivity

  • 1x ATX 20 + 4 pin motherboard power cable.
  • 1x EPS12V/ATX12V Cable (4+4).
  • 2x PCIe 6+2 graphics card power supply cables to take advantage of the SLI or Crossfire capability of the PC.
  • 6x SATA power cables for SSD or HDD hard disks
  • 4x Molex 4 pin cables for additional peripherals
  • 1x 4 pin floppy cable for floppy reader or card reader.

Protection Levels

  • OPP (Over Power Protection): The power supply shuts down when there is an excessive power draw, generally between 110% and 140% of the advertised power.
  • OTP (Over Temperature Protection): Protects the power supply from overheating damage, such as from the fan.
  • UVP (Under Voltage Protection): Protection to shut down the power supply if the voltage drops too low.
  • OVP (Over Voltage Protection): The overvoltage protection works similarly to UVP, but in reverse.
  • SCP (Short Circuit Protection): Short circuit protection measures resistance on each rail and will shut down when resistance is lower than 0.1 ohms. Generally, this is combined with OPP, OCP, OVP, and UVP.

I believe that in terms of money, the best power supply someone can buy is completely silent. You can't even tell if the computer is turned on or not. The cable management is very easy to do and it is done correctly because it is semi modular. At the moment, for 80 euros, it is the best for what it offers (semi modular, 80+ gold, OVP, etc)

Everyone says it doesn't make noise, but it sounds normal even when idle. It sounds almost as loud as a hard drive. Disappointed.

It is a very good power supply and quiet, and every time my computer has shut down suddenly, it has not suffered any damage. It comes with several extra cables, but I think that for its features, the price should be around 50 euros, because even though it has 4 slots, a processor, a graphics card, and the system require around 350-400 watts, the other 3 slots are useless. Therefore, it's like throwing them away, and if you go for a 550-watt power supply, it will make noise due to the load, so you're kind of in the middle. Thus, a price drop would make it more affordable for the mentioned semi-modular feature.

I have had this specific power supply for about 2 years (650W) and so far it has not presented the slightest problem. A few months ago, I upgraded to an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 7 5800X with the intention of upgrading it if it had any issues (since the 3080 has a minimum requirement of 750W), but ultimately it was not necessary as the TX650M was able to run the system without any problems. With a relatively small price difference (10-15 euros), there are much better options with a 10-year warranty instead of 7 from Seasonic, but if your budget is limited, it is definitely one of the most worthwhile choices for the money.

It is a very good power supply. Sometimes the power is cut off at home and I'm afraid something might happen to the computer. But with this power supply, nothing happens.

The power supply was purchased in late 2019. It has not presented any of the problems that arose in the recent batches. My system roughly consists of an r 7 3700x, 16gb rx 5700, extra cooler, and hard drives. Almost the entire system runs constantly with a strong overclock. The power supply has never let me down. Except for the issues with the recent batch, I would highly recommend it as it is very high quality, semi-modular, which means it doesn't require anything extra. Lastly, it has an 80 plus gold certification.

Corsair is one of the best power supply manufacturers and this particular one is a classic, worthy, and awesome power supply with a nice long warranty. Personally, I had a VS 450 before that has more than paid for itself.

It has a high-quality construction that appears very sturdy and is quite heavy.

The 80+ gold ensures both cost-effective and long-term use, as it is more efficient and cheaper in terms of electricity consumption.

In terms of cable management, the semi-modularity helps, but personally, I would prefer larger distances between the plugs on the SATA cables it comes with. If you have multiple drives, in the end, you don't save any cables, almost, because it is quite difficult to cover all 3 drive slots with just one SATA cable.

Perfect power supply is quiet and has good connections since it is also semi modular, just be careful if your case does not have enough space for cable management, it may not fit the 24pin at the back

    Purchased on 6/23/2020.

Yesterday, on 1/3/2021, it made a loud noise, but the PC continued to work normally (later I realized that the noise came from the computer).

Today, on 1/4/2021 (6.5 months later), it made the same noise again and the PC no longer turns on. The power supply is burnt (diagnosed by a technician). After a brief research, I saw that others have experienced the same problem. It is, of course, within warranty, but it's difficult to deal with during the quarantine.

What could I have done better: The power strip should have had surge protection, and/or I should have had a UPS.

My opinion: invest in something more reliable and go for the RMX series.

In the 7 months since its purchase (05.05.2020 the purchase, 21.05.2020 received), it stopped working, causing a power outage in the house.
In an attempt to restart, it sparks and smells burnt.
The entire system was connected to a UPS which continues to function.
Fortunately, no problem occurred in other systems of the central unit.
The technical support of the store where I bought it informed me that many power supplies of this Corsair model have been experiencing the exact same problem lately.
It's a shame, as I considered Corsair to be one of the reliable companies in the industry.

(650w) It was purchased in April 2020 and burned today after 8 months. I tried to turn on the computer in the morning, it blew the fuses. I reset them and tried to turn it on again, but the power supply made a noise, sparks flew, and it smelled burnt. Luckily, I had an old power supply and connected it, and nothing else got damaged (the only good thing).

It was purchased during the first quarantine and was installed on a new computer due to remote work and light gaming. The day before yesterday, while the computer was off, in the morning when I went to turn it on for work, it was dead. I took it out, did a bridge, and all that could be heard was a "click". So suddenly I was left without a computer for work and I still don't know if it burned the motherboard or anything else since I don't have a second power supply to test it. Judging from the other reviews, I'm not the only one who experienced this so soon. I have already contacted the store and I am waiting for a message regarding replacement. I am forced to order an Antec and damn if I will receive it soon with the current situation. Never again Corsair.

Very good power supply. I have it in a system with B550 Tomahawk, r5 3600, gigabyte 3070 oc, g.skill tridentZ 3200MHz (2x8) and it performs very well. The only negative thing I have to say is that because the 3070 requires one six-pin and one eight-pin in terms of cable management, I have a two-pin sticking out on the graphics card and it bothered me, although Gigabyte could fix this with an adapter on the 3070. Otherwise, very good

With stock settings on the processor and graphics card and 150 watts above what the gpu manufacturer requested, however the computer kept randomly rebooting due to power loss. From the moment I replaced it with a new one from the RM series of the same company, I found my peace. Stay away from this specific series from Corsair if you have spent money on a powerful build.

Well... it gets 4 stars because it has average cable management, but for its price, it's worth it! However, I believe that the 650w is not necessary, you can go for 600w or even 550w depending on each person's hardware

So far, very good, many years of warranty and completely silent (only makes a noise when shutting down the PC). Easy cable management, I can't understand what problem those who write that it's not full modular and have issues have, as the 2 cables that are integrated, for the motherboard and the processor, are used anyway... The only negative thing is that the SATA cables are very close to each other, so you will need an extension. One last thing, I have never heard the fan working, even in heavy games that I play.

Good purchase compared to the corsair cx650m that I was considering, I am satisfied with my purchase. The purchase was made from the vision studio store, it was not immediately available but they called me directly to inform me and I agreed to wait. I did not expect to wait more than 3 days for it to be shipped, while they were expecting a new delivery much later. The power supply is flawless, I did not encounter any issues and the store had friendly and fast service for any questions one may have. The cables are of satisfactory quality, although if someone wants the extra aesthetics, they can purchase extensions with braided sleeves. The non-removable cables have good quality sleeves and the power supply does not make any noise, at least with proper air flow inside my case it never increased in temperature enough for me to notice. The cables have sufficient length if you wrap them correctly according to your case. I highly recommend it.

I bought it to replace a cοolermaster semi-mod. that left us after ten years. It works, okay, but in the headphones I hear the noises from the mouse every time it moves, it makes various other existing noises. When I set up the next computer, I will check it again and I will come back. However, I can't believe that a power supply of this category has issues that I thought had been solved for a decade now.
Update: I tried another power supply. The problem is elsewhere... unfortunately.

    First of all, it's Corsair.
Undoubtedly, it is now the ELITE in psu.
It has proven it. From users and sales.
7 and 10 years warranty? Monsters.

It has better prices than EVGA and Be Quiet and offers equal or better quality and features in power supplies.

And obviously, for expensive builds, it also has the RM series as High End. Which is unbeatable...
It even has software to automatically turn off the fan for maximum power management and noise reduction.
And it also has user preference, apart from the default.

Invest in your power supply like you do with your graphics card and processor.
It is the main power source.

    10/10 from me, simply.
    They are the war dogs.

Description & Specifications

It runs the MSI 1660 Super and the Ryzen 5 3600 flawlessly. I preferred the 650W Corsair and not another brand with cheaper solutions for more safety with the power supply.

I have had it for 3 years and it hasn't made a sound, nor do I feel any heat.
A silent "worker" that makes the whole system run smoothly, it is very high quality and worth every penny, it has a 7-year warranty, it is Corsair and it costs less than 100€ and has an 80 Gold Plus certification.
    What else could anyone want?
Besides, Linus has also recommended this specific PSU.
