Description

Description

Silent power supply, without detachable cables, ensuring stable operation and safety against power fluctuations, with 80 PLUS Bronze certification and a self-regulating 120mm fan.

80 PLUS Bronze

It has the 80 PLUS Bronze certification, which means it offers clean power that reaches 80% of its total efficiency.

Thermally controlled fan

The use of a thermally controlled fan makes the CX series almost silent during normal operation, and the large 120 mm diameter reduces noise even when pushing your system hard.

Plenty of connectors and long cables

  • 1x ATX 20 + 4 pin motherboard power cable.
  • 1x EPS 8 pin processor power cable.
  • 4x PCIe 6+2 graphics card power cables, to take advantage of your computer's SLI or Crossfire capability.
  • 4x SATA power cables for SSD or HDD hard drives.
  • 4x Molex 4 pin cables for connecting additional peripherals to complete your system.
  • 1x 4 pin floppy cable for connecting a floppy disk drive or card reader.

Protection

Because voltage fluctuations can be fatal for the operation of the computer, the power supply provides levels of protection against short circuits (Short Circuit Protection/Over Current), overvoltages (Over Voltage/Power Protection), and voltage drops (Under Voltage Protection) of the current.

Active PFC

Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) ensures reliable and stable voltage, to protect your devices from problems and fluctuations.

  • This review is about a variation of the product

If you are looking for a reliable power supply that combines power, stability, and a good price, the Corsair is truly a very good choice as its operation is also quite silent! It may be full wired but the cables are high quality and convenient for proper cable management. For the money it costs, it is hard to find something so reliable and stable. I easily recommend it to anyone who wants a PSU that offers confidence and will last for years without worry

Unfortunately, the people in the comments were right about the noise this particular version makes. No matter how reliable Corsair is, if you want 750w and something relatively quiet, you should get something else.

  • This review is about a variation of the product

It's not bad if you consider the price/watt. Corsair is reputed to be one of the best brands for power supplies. Of course, if you want cable management, look elsewhere; basically, the only problem I saw is that it has only 3 SATA power cables and all 3 are together, in close proximity, barely reaching the hard drive and the Blu-ray Drive. These are in a horizontal case, in a vertical one... it might still have an issue. For reliability, I hope it lasts; I will return if it burns out.

Even at maximum usage with 2 drives, Ryzen 7 2700x, MSI Radeon Rx 570, and other various components, it is completely silent while maintaining the advertised temperature on the box. It has incredibly many cables, all of which are black and inside a protective covering that resembles plastic fabric, so if you have a transparent case, it won't be a lantern. Of course, it has Corsair quality, I am absolutely satisfied as with every Corsair product. I have another older generation Corsair product for about a decade and it still works like new. Cable management is mainly done by the user and not the power supply. If you have a large case, it will be fine.

It covers everything someone needs for a low to medium-cost setup, it is certified and has the safety and security provided by the Corsair name. The cable management gave me a bit of trouble, the purchasing cost is reasonable, and it is relatively quiet in operation. It is a good solution, although depending on the setup, you may need to consider a higher wattage. Overall, I don't find a very serious reason for someone not to purchase it if they want a reliable solution, quality, and the safety of a brand.

Everything is perfect except for the cable management a little bit, but expected since it's not modular...
Also, if your case has the position for the power supply on top and not on the bottom, then the power supply fan will be on the inside of the case, so it won't pull air from outside, but from the inside of the case. I don't see it as a problem of course, but just so you know.

I have it for 3-4 days, everything is fine, all the regular stitches + 2 more for graphics cards if I remember correctly. Cable management is very easy for hard cables, I hear it for the first time. The fan in my system doesn't always work because 550 watts is too much for my setup, but even when it does work, it can't be heard. I recommend it!

It is definitely worth it with its high-quality construction, good performance, plenty of cables for graphics cards, molex 4-pin, and many more. It was purchased in January 2018 and was combined without any issues with a Gigabyte B250M-DS3H, 4Gb DDR4 2400Mhz, and a G4600.

For this system, this specific power supply is overkill, but I wanted it to be a futureproof purchase considering that a graphics card and extra hard drives may be added later.

I consider the price of 60 euros to be good since we are talking about a quality power supply, quiet, and with a 5-year warranty.

This review is about the power: 550 W

Surely it is a decent power supply, and I consider the price to be fine. But it has its problems, mainly with cable management. So I believe that with a little more money, you might find a better power supply in terms of quality. But I would definitely hesitate to choose it again

A good power supply for the money.
It has 20+4 pins for the motherboard power, 4+4 pins for the CPU power, 6+2 pins for the graphics card, and the classic SATA and Molex connectors

One of the best power supplies, in my opinion, are durable, just like all Corsair CX Series power supplies.

Truly the best power supply for the money. Quality construction with Japanese capacitors, very good voltages and ripple, along with a 5-year warranty and truly silent. I highly recommend it!

From me, I highly recommend it if you have the money to spare. It is definitely worth it with its high-quality construction, good performance, plenty of cables for graphics cards, molex 4-pin, and many more. I am quite satisfied with it, and let's not forget that it's Corsair, so it's guaranteed on its own. I recommend it to you, no flaws. (I hope I helped)

Quite good power supply for its price... the only negative is that it has very thick cables and cable management is difficult

It's only $50. Quality, weight, beautiful, silent, take it and you will relax like me. Don't buy a noname power supply, you will have trouble, get this, it's a very good purchase

  • If you are looking for a reliable power supply that combines power, stability, and a good price, the Corsair is truly a very good choice as its operation is also quite silent! It may be full wired but the cables are high quality and convenient for proper cable management. For the money it costs, it is hard to find something so reliable and stable. I easily recommend it to anyone who wants a PSU that offers confidence and will last for years without worry

  • Good power supply, it has quite thick cables and for small cases cable management is not easy, but it's amazing for its price

  • It has its positives and its negatives as a power supply. It is definitely a very powerful power supply with very good performance and functionality, however I had quite a bit of difficulty installing the cables

  • Unfortunately, the people in the comments were right about the noise this particular version makes. No matter how reliable Corsair is, if you want 750w and something relatively quiet, you should get something else.

  • It's not bad if you consider the price/watt.
