In this work, every possible effort has been made to present the reader with a cohesive, modern, contradiction-free, practically applicable understanding of the fundamental, general part of commercial law that is compatible with civil law. The often observed opposition in writings to well-known, even prevailing views was not sought. It emerged.
Of course, the articulated views of the wise pioneers of the field and the homonymous works of older and contemporary esteemed teachers and distinguished colleagues served as the primary, basic material from which the congruent or divergent arguments of this work emerged.
With the publication of the second edition of this work, it became possible to harmonize its content with the newer legislative regulations in commercial law that have come into effect and to supplement it with any innovations that have emerged in the meantime from transactions and the legislator.
The guiding principles of the writing remain the provision of a scientifically structured, complete, and accurate information for legal professionals and students regarding commercial law, as well as the analyses, research, reflections, and critiques, ultimately the interpretative proposals on the issues that occupy theory and practice.
