I use several tools from German Gardena and I really appreciate their ergonomics and beautiful, high-quality design. The handles and shafts of the gardening tools are the most comfortable, and some of the tools have shown great durability in long-term, tough use! On the other hand, how can one explain the very soft metal used, for example, in the pruners, which makes them weak and ineffective? This particular pruner, with the heavy name Gardena Professional BP50, Made in Germany and the higher price, has been problematic: Yes, it is lightweight and very ergonomic, you enjoy using it, but soon you are searching for screws in your garden... In my case, the unbelievable happened: the upper handle broke in two, at the weak point where it narrows and there is a hole for a screw... ("reinforced" it says "die-cast aluminum"...) There is another version of the same pruner, without this screw, maybe the company tried to fix the problem. However, the pruner is excellent only for amateur use on delicate shoots, useless for professional use. And... be careful with the screws! As for the 25-year warranty, it only brings back memories (there are no spare parts...) What a shame!
