The Benman 77011 pruning shears feature a bypass mechanism, with the sharp blade passing alongside the counter blade for clean cuts on green branches. They are suitable for pruning vines, fruit trees, shrubs, flowers and potted plants, as well as for cutting fruit stems during harvest.
The blade is made of SK5 steel, and the tool features a one-motion locking safety catch and a return spring that opens the handles after cutting. To maintain the shears, clean any residue from the blade and oil the blade and pivot pin. Sharpen only the bevelled side of the blade, maintaining its original angle.
