Description

The fast-paced Bey decides to publish a newspaper to inform the locals about the news of the place. So, he asks Hatzavati to find him someone brave, smart, and literate to take over. Hatzavatis thinks that the ideal person for this job is none other than Karagiozis, who accepts almost immediately. However, officer Selim asks them later to snatch some documents during a war council, offering them a great reward. So, instead of being a journalist, Karagiozis becomes a spy and the adventures begin... The continuation is both thrilling and hilarious. Will Karagiozis and his friends manage to snatch the war documents, which include the order to recruit all the locals?

Shadow Theater has such deep roots in our popular tradition that it still moves us today.

Karagiozis, the main character, is a popular, genuine, and uncompromising character. He speaks his mind, satirizes his poverty, and says whatever he thinks in a unique and unparalleled way. However, every adventure of Karagiozis, as well as the other heroes of Shadow Theater, conveys the message that humor is an essential element in our lives to maintain our optimism and to face difficulties that happen to all of us with more strength.
