In the classic and widely published "In the Light of the Moon," we have the story of a humiliated passion in a small French port, where the narrator-writer finds himself by chance, with a masterfully ambiguous ending. In "The Countess of Beatrice Cenci," with a different narrative style, Zweig reinterprets a bloodthirsty legend through History, giving a new poetic dimension to tragic and destructive passion.
