I bought it too along with the 3-ton stands. It’s very good for its price. Very easy to use and store. Its rod is collapsible so it’s perfect for tight spots (garage etc.). As soon as you take it out of the box, open the screw on the left (not all the way) and pump it 5-6 times to get the factory air out. Then tighten the screw on the right and pump it up and down two or three times. That’s it! Ready. It easily lifts small city cars. With five or six pumps on the rod, it lifted my Seat to the sky. For those who say it drops suddenly when lowering, not true at all. Guys, when lowering, turn the screw to the left very slowly and in a controlled way; if you just open it all the way, of course the car will drop fast. After I lifted the car and secured it on the stands, I left the jack touching the subframe as a safety backup. It stayed in place just fine for over 40 minutes. It’s sturdy and fits easily under relatively low cars like mine in the photo. I also tried lifting a Skoda station wagon and it lifted that easily too. If you’re thinking of getting it for DIY jobs in the garage, to safely lift your car for oil changes, wheel removal, brake pads, etc., don’t hesitate. Go for it—at this price I don’t think there’s anything better. Personally, for these small jobs I’m not going to the shop anymore. I buy my oil at 30% of the price the shops sell it for, make myself a big coffee, and with a good friend, I sit and do the job comfortably and above all safely and without stress.
