Capabilities

Waterproof work boot by Giasco, which provides toe protection against impacts and features a slip-resistant, antistatic, and puncture-resistant sole according to the S3 safety standard. The antistatic sole prevents the accumulation of static electricity from the body without providing sufficient protection against electric shock, while the puncture-resistant sole protects the foot from stepping on sharp and pointed objects.

  • Sole of the Hard Rock Line: Strength and top durability. Especially suitable for electromechanical work. Shock absorption in the heel area. Special section on the heel for superior grip. Special flex point for tasks where the user is on their knees.
  • Hard rock Insulating PU: Especially suitable for electrical work and/or tasks where protection from electric current is required.
  • The bottom part of the shoe, within certain limits (without moisture, does not apply to the upper part), offers electrical resistance against voltage up to 1,000V - M Ω > 1,000
  • Electrical resistance: CSA Z Canadian standard 195 - increase by 1 kV / sec - Voltage 20,000V / 60 Hz - duration 1 minute. -
  • Electrical resistance: ASTM 2413 -11 standard - increase by 1 kV / sec - Voltage 20,000V / 60 Hz - duration 1 minute.
  • Requirement: Electrical current flow less than 1.0 mA

Comfort & Functionality

Injection is a process where the upper part is placed in the mold and liquid polyurethane (PU) is injected to form an anatomically correct midsole and/or the outsole. It is the strongest way to attach the sole to the upper part of the shoe. Without glue or stitching, the strongest possible bond is achieved, providing unmatched durability and long lifespan. It creates a waterproof seal that prevents water penetration between the upper and the sole of the shoe. Extremely lightweight, flexible, and comfortable.

    I have been wearing these shoes for 13 months now. I have worn quite a few of this type. They are very good and durable for use in heavy industry with a lot of oil. I naturally wear silicone insoles as all shoes of this type are hard on the sole.
    They still hold up, they will probably last two years. The smell on the foot is not unbearable nor did I feel the sole burn quickly at high temperatures. The only drawback they have is that they are not non-slip on oil, you can easily slip on an industrial floor. I think for construction work they will barely last a year.

    Another shoe from the crappy company. Zero durability. The sole is very hard, resulting in limping at the end of the shift. Silicone insoles didn't help at all. We wear them in the factory, about 100 people, and 97 of us have serious problems. This is the fifth year they supply us with Giasco boots, and now 80% of my colleagues, including myself, have turned to buying shoes out of our own pockets. The only pro is that they are lightweight, but that doesn't save them
