Usually I wore cheap safety shoes, this was the first relatively more expensive one that I bought (50€) three years ago. When I bought it, I had tried several brands in three different stores. Wherever I went, I asked for it to be as soft as possible in the heel. The specific one that the store owner suggested I try was the softest I had tried, even softer than the same company's model with an air sole. It remained the same even now that I have retired them. They also remained equally slip-resistant as they were when new, the only wear was in the areas where there is fabric, which is logical due to usage. The only drawback I would say is that they are a bit heavier than I would like, but it is justified because they are work boots.
