The Salewa Litetrek III igloo tent has a double-layer construction and is designed for mountaineering and year-round use. It accommodates up to 3 people and has a 0.74 m² vestibule for storing gear or cooking when the weather makes it difficult to do so outside. The flysheet has a hydrostatic head of 3,000 mm, while the floor withstands a water column of up to 5,000 mm.

The three poles are made of 7001 T6 aluminium and have a diameter of 8.5 mm. The inner tent is made of 20D ripstop mesh nylon with a mosquito net, while the flysheet is made of 50D ripstop polyester with a PU coating. The rear ventilation panel closes with a zipper. Inside, pockets provide storage for small items, while the guides direct rainwater towards the edges of the tent.
