What is latex?

• In its pure form, latex is the milky white liquid extracted from the trunks of mature rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis).

The Talalay Production Process

• A specific amount of lightly foamed latex is poured into a large fixed mold-frame in a way that fills only part of the mold.
• The cover is sealed and the latex spreads in the vacuum, filling the entire mold.
• Once the latex fills the mold, the temperature is lowered to -30°C to cool and solidify the latex.
• The latex piece/sheet passes through a washing roller to rinse off any residues.
• Next, the product moves under a dryer system before reaching the natural inspection station.
• Each latex piece is individually checked to ensure it meets the required density and firmness specifications.
