I started my effort to gather, evaluate, and record some basic rules of the game "prefa," not to teach the thousands of excellent "prefa" players in villages and towns across Greece, but to assist the newcomers and those who wish to learn "prefa" but cannot find a written text that will provide them with the essential foundational knowledge to get started.

Whether you lose or win a game of "prefa" depends on many factors, primarily on the luck of the day; thus, every outcome should be expected and entirely normal, even for the best "prefa" player. Complaints, mutterings, and excuses reveal a player who does not know how to lose, and learning to lose is much more difficult than learning to win.
