Description

Description

This green cross line laser projects bright crossing horizontal and vertical lines for various leveling and layout applications. It is built tough with an over molded housing and can withstand up to a 1 meter drop. When used with a detector, this laser can achieve up to a 165 ft. range. Detector sold separately.


Capabilities

The Dewalt DW088CG green projection laser is self-leveling up to a surface angle of 4 degrees. With automatic out-of-level indication, it marks a level line in seconds and maintains full brightness for visibility. It is ideal for use in brightly lit areas as it has a range of 20 meters visually and 50 meters with the use of an electronic target, thanks to the green laser beam which is almost 4 times more visible than the red one.

Design

The level features two operation buttons and a low battery indicator for ease of use, as well as an integrated magnetic hook for easy attachment to metal surfaces. Additionally, the rubber casing with an IP54 protection rating makes it resistant to water and dust, suitable for the toughest job sites.

    Although I regret not getting rechargeable batteries and 360-degree beams, for what it offers, it's very good. After a debate with my father (can't teach an old dog new tricks), I tested it with a leveling rod. At 5 meters, it might lose 0.5mm!! If the beam wasn't 1.5mm at some points, the measurement would be even more accurate. I considered the average of the beam for determining the accuracy.
