In Geneva, at the Manzoni boarding house, at the beginning of the sixties, a group of girls lived there. Most of them were students. They used to gather at the University, in the Library, in the concert hall, at the Bastions park, in the bistro of the old town, and at the cafés of the university neighborhood.
In the room at the back of the boarding house, the light stayed on until dawn. There, the girls set up the ashtrays, made tea, brought down the cushions to the carpet and sat on the floor, ready to start the discussion, to criticize institutions, to question moral values, to demand gender equality, to banish wars. In other words, they were ready to change the world.
Years later, in our days, some of these girls will meet in Athens. Who are these women today? What happened to the rebellious students and their friends? What happened to their expectations, their loves, their passion for life?
