Description & Specifications

A luxurious yacht appears on an island in the Aegean. And a refugee child, little Jamal, disappears. Ilyana struggles to discover love. She dresses as a bride to go to church. And she wakes up next to a man who has been stabbed.

Alkis goes to extremes for a woman. He gambles his career. Even his very life. Orestis is enchanted by aromas and flavors. He becomes a chef, traveling to distant places in search of a shell and some eyes. Byzantine eyes. Until he discovers love.

A woman between two men, passionate loves, fiery romances. Shocking twists and spies. Tasty journeys in the fragrant corners of the Earth and precious aromas that reveal hidden secrets. A novel woven with the saltiness of love, diving into a sea of fire, into the innocence of childhood, into the romance of adolescence, but also into the "magical" help: the power of the soul.

Because the language of the heart needs no words, it is written in the eyes.

Within the waters of the Aegean
Last summer, on one of the Aegean islands, I was impressed by a large, luxurious yacht that docked at the port, drawing everyone's gaze towards it. Next to the yacht, on the quay, barefoot children played—children of refugees…
That was it. A moment, a glance.
And time stopped for me.
I plunged into a Sea of fire, into the story of Orestes' life. I also dove into Ilyana's life. Both of my heroes helped me reconcile with myself. With my flaws, my insecurities.
I write and rewrite about the role of family in raising a child, about the invaluable role of the mother.
At an event for my novel "Two Kisses for Amelia," a reader, orphaned from her mother, asked me if the past influences the future. If it ultimately predetermines it. Do orphaned children, children with indifferent parents, have a future? Is their emotional and psychological development smooth?
Orestes and Ilyana. A boy, a girl.
Is there a future for these innocent, vulnerable beings?

Many people are not born to be parents. Many children do not know the pure, generous love of a mother. They are not embraced by tenderness, affection, security. And then? What happens then;
What experiences does a child carry who has grown up without a mother or father, with rejecting or indifferent parents;
Rejection is a form of loss. The child doesn't know how to handle it. Perhaps they ultimately find their own way, perhaps they draw everything they need from other people who stand close to them and contribute to shaping their character; Do their memories help? The scents of their heart? Their own pain, which manages to transform into a hug;
