This volume hosts texts of original and creative teaching proposals that will make Literature lessons in Middle and High School more enjoyable and interesting for students, as well as more effective.
Each teaching proposal is a lesson plan or primarily a teaching scenario pertaining to a teaching unit. All proposals have been implemented in actual classrooms with satisfactory learning outcomes.
Before presenting the proposals, there is a Theoretical Section, where all valid contemporary methods and teaching techniques of literature in secondary education are analyzed, upon which all the teaching proposals contained in the volume are based.
Several of the suggested teaching scenarios rely, among other things, on the use of New Technologies. However, not all require the teacher to have specific familiarity with them (e.g., Level B certification), nor do all leverage ICT to the same or significant degree.
Nevertheless, all teaching proposals (i) are based on the current curricula, (ii) can be applied in an "average" class of a typical public school, (iii) display varying levels of teaching innovation, as some are more original than others, and (iv) do not require a particular level of ICT infrastructure and software.
Thus, all are easily applicable under one condition: the teacher who attempts to utilize them must desire and have decided to modernize and enhance, in general, their teaching and the learning conditions they offer to their students.
