Very good tool. The only thing that could be considered a disadvantage is that the jaws do not close completely when it locks, so if you put it in a pocket it might tear it

Cuts and strips wires satisfactorily. However, I don't like something about the insulation. After two years, it has turned black and won't clean off at all. It's something I haven't caused myself, but it seems to have come from the insulation itself. It's the yellow-red model. I believe that Knipex is no longer manufactured in Germany but in Eastern countries. For this reason, I rate it with two stars, although I could give it one. I expect to see comments if other users have the same issue.

Bought at 35-40 it was worth it then
At 50-60 that it ranges I would reconsider

It needs a little work until one gets used to the cable scraping with the wire cutter
But because it is a wire cutter, it cuts like butter
In the pros (which was also the reason I bought it), the spring makes everything easy

Fantastic tool. It serves very well in cases where it is not easy to carry the whole bag with our tools, or it is not so convenient to carry many things on us. It has a needle-nose pliers, wire cutter, terminal crimper, and wire stripper all in one. It does its job very well and its construction is very high quality.
I also provide some photos along with the model of the Knipex that resembles more a pair of pliers, so that someone can see the differences between these two and decide more easily what they need. Personally, I couldn't choose, so I ended up getting both.

This review is about a variation of the product

Quite a good tool, with Knipex warranty. If the tip was wider to also make branching, we would be talking about the ultimate multitool. Nevertheless, it is quite useful for the electrician

I consider it to be one of the tools that an electrician and refrigeration technician should have in their toolbox. It is an excellent wire stripper up to 2.5mm and a cutter for cables up to 3X6 or 5X4. The ability to tighten terminals up to 2.5mm is quite good, although not as good as a terminal crimping tool would do. Practically, it is a needle-nose pliers, cutter, wire stripper, and small pliers (due to the small surface area on the tip, it is not suitable for tightening NYA terminals).

Very ergonomic. It easily strips the larger cables through the cutter. The top feature is the locking switch so that the two parts do not open fully to perform maneuvers at close distances inside the electrical panel.

Amazing tool.. I fell in love with it. They dropped my first one at a construction site and I was about to explode. The same day I ordered the same one. If you work with it, you can't do without it again. That's my opinion.

If it had more stars, I would give them! Knipex justifies the crown of the king in pliers! The tool is, without exaggeration, essential for every professional who comes into contact with cables! It solves hands, just like that. I chose the version with the spring and the locking button. In the "lock" position, it leaves space to work the stripper without fully opening. The cutter doesn't see any cable in front of it. I sometimes work with a 6mm cable and it cuts it like hot knife through butter. Oh, and VDE tested for 1000V. I don't consider it expensive because besides the fact that what you pay for has quality, you get a 5+1 tool in one.

You can't go wrong with this pliers, only Knipex says it all.
The length of the pliers may not suit some people (like a needle-nose/marking tool), but it's a matter of habit and depends on its specific use.

I have this pair of pliers for several months now. I use it frequently at work because it has a very good cutter and a very good wire stripper. The only negative thing about it is that you can't make branches with it because it has a thin tip like a needle-nose pliers.

Note: The cutter cuts 5x1.5 like spreading butter on warm bread.

Just bought it, the quality and materials it is made of are incredible. It has a spring and opens by itself. It has a switch where you can choose if you want it to open a little bit or all the way, just enough to catch something or strip it. It cuts incredibly well and strips perfectly, and the pliers-tweezers fit very well and leave no gap.

Very convenient with the switch boxes to open the holes
The wire stripper is very handy for cables
It stays open (when locked) as much as needed to be able to work with the wire stripper
It easily cuts 3x6 or 5x4 cable
And the needle-nose pliers are quite useful for the cables on the panel
