The Proxxon DS 460 scroll saw features a 205 W motor with two speeds and a 460 mm throat. The die-cast aluminium work table measures 400 × 250 mm and tilts from 5° to 50°. The maximum workpiece thickness is 65 mm, while the cutting depth at 45° is 32 mm.

The anti-vibration spindle base is made of cast steel, CNC-machined and powder-coated. The magnesium arms are lightweight and provide an unobstructed view of the workpiece. The blower unit has an adjustable nozzle, and a port is provided for connecting a vacuum cleaner. The work table slides backwards to make blade replacement easier. The saw accepts standard blades with clamping fixtures as well as pin-end blades, and the adjustable handle allows their tension to be adjusted.
