This issue presents interesting contributions on the topic of divorce and its consequences on family legal relationships under substantive and private international law.

The choice of this topic is justified by two factors, one social and one legislative. Specifically, it has been observed that the number of mixed marriages is steadily increasing, resulting in a rise in the number of divorces in such mixed marriages.

Due to this increase, various problems arise related to the property relations of spouses after marriage, the obligation for the payment of alimony both between them and towards their children, and the exercise of parental responsibility.

Furthermore, these problems are exacerbated particularly in cases where the applicable law to the relevant legal relationships is the law of a foreign state.
