I bought 2 with a few months difference because the first one was very good and convenient. Unfortunately, the second one broke within the first 6 months. It seems to be receiving power but it doesn't read SD cards or a mouse on the USB.
On the other hand, the first one I bought is working perfectly for over a year now on both computers. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but it broke quite late for me to return it, too early considering its cost.

So far, I consider it one of the best functional, beautiful, and discreet plug & play hubs for MacBook available! Well done Satechi.

It is an essential tool for users of the latest generation Macbooks.
Personally, I use it on a MacBook Air M1.
It is a bit pricey, but for its quality, it is definitely worth it and more!

Very good adapter, fast, reliable, I can simultaneously charge my MacBook, have any flash drive, and have it connected to the TV!

Excellent performance. I have had it for 8 months and I am very satisfied. The connection never cuts off like with other adapters. WARNING! If you have a case on your MacBook, there is a high chance that you will need to remove the bottom part, like me, in order to plug it in because it doesn't fit otherwise. This might be the one negative aspect of the adapter.

I have it for about 5 months, I use it at work and at home (meaning I carry it around) and it works perfectly. It has never caused me any issues even though I have only used the USB-3 ports, the Ethernet port, and the HDMI (I don't know if the other ones work properly). It is expensive but I think it's worth it.

Very good and high-quality construction. The only issue is that it heats up quite a bit. I've had it for 3.5 weeks now and it hasn't had any issues yet, but it's something that will show over time...
