I've had it for about 2 years, at first I was very satisfied, but then with the new product policy forcing you to subscribe since yesterday, it doesn't connect with routers that are 5G, resulting in it not working at all... I don't know if this happened to anyone else as well.

I have had it for over 2 years and at first I was completely satisfied. However, the company has now implemented a new policy and offers its own "cloud" with a monthly fee of 7 euros for monthly subscription. Moreover, since I do not use an SD card, I do not even receive motion detection notifications. I would like to emphasize that I am not disappointed with the camera as a device, as it is amazing and value for money, but rather with Xiaomi's customer treatment.

Initially, when I bought it, the installation was easy. However, after years, when I reinstalled it, it gave me a lot of trouble and the installation was finally completed after I uninstalled the app from my phone and tablet and then reinstalled it. Also, the app does not send motion notifications; it sends them only after you open the app. So, one star because you buy a product to use it without having to refer to platforms and forums to find the solution. It should be simpler.

By far the worst camera because at the stage where you connect it to your phone, it doesn't even scan the QR code. I have tried countless times and it has only connected twice in a span of 2 years, and it disconnected again due to my own mistake, and I am still trying to scan the QR. Please don't put yourself in this position and waste your time like I did, get one that you know connects directly. Thank you.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY IT! Xiaomi now requires a monthly subscription to keep the videos. Before, it recorded, for example, 12-second videos when it detected motion, and you could view them whenever you wanted. Now it DOES NOT save unless you pay. Get another one that doesn't require a subscription or go to a security company

I have bought 3. Two in one house and the third in another house. One has not stopped working while the other two keep going offline. One of the two that stops, if you unplug it and plug it back in 1-2 times, it comes back while the second one has some kind of freeze. For safety, it is NOT recommended with ANYTHING. If you need to monitor a dog while you're away or an elderly person while there is a live-in maid at home, it's good. Oh, and the notifications only worked for about a week.

It has a very clear image and notifications come to the phone immediately. I give it 4 stars because the notifications come without sound and no matter how much I searched, I couldn't find a solution!

Today I received it, it doesn't connect to the router, I requested a product replacement. In the end, I managed to connect, everything turned out well!@@@@

I was expecting, reading comments, that it would be difficult for me to install or that it would lose signal. No problem. Everything was easy and quick.

After about 8 months, it stopped recording to the card. I got a new card, formatted the previous one, nothing. Also, many errors in the notification function. I have 2, and if they have a large field of view, they go crazy and generate many false alerts for a person.

Although I have inserted a memory card, it no longer records. In the past, there were some moments in the messages, but from then on, nothing.

For the money, it's the best. Many features at a low cost. The only thing left is to see its durability.

I have 4 such cameras connected to 3 different networks and I can say that they are a very honest choice for monitoring the space. I read about many having connection issues, but this is almost always due to the routers and the settings of the networks or the mobiles.

Everything works fine except for the motion detection notifications which sometimes are delayed... even a 5-minute delay is an eternity for the purpose they should serve.

Excellent value for money for home use, they solve many cases for us that just a few years ago would have required a professional installation costing hundreds of euros.

I can't have any other expectation from an indoor camera.. It fully meets my needs.. The night vision is even better than during the day! The app, the microphone, and the speaker work very well. My only objection is that it doesn't accept the 5GHz frequency from the router, and I have to have the 2.4GHz frequency open as well.... It's not a big deal though.

As an owner of an NVR recorder, my experience setting up a security camera was a painful one. Companies like Xiaomi make the difficult tasks incredibly easy. Terrific image quality.

However, I didn't understand:

Why the only notification method is a push notification on the mobile AND NOTHING ELSE. I couldn't believe it until I realized it. Even in the automation menu, there is nothing.

No automation to upload anything to the cloud, only to a local NAS.

I couldn't connect it with professional software like general CMS.

I thought there would be some menu if you surfed to its IP.

Another problem with the Mi Home app is that you can't set a download location; it can't download directly to the SD card.

The whole automation is good, but you depend on Xiaomi and its software products.

For example, if after x years they shut down the servers for this specific product, it automatically becomes useless.

Very good overall. Only that the motion notifications do not come with sound on the phone. If someone knows why this is happening or if I am doing something wrong, please let me know so I can fix it. (An update to the app was made but still no notifications with sound..)

I chose it while searching for an affordable camera option and it exceeded my expectations. With a purchase price of ~27 euros (excluding shipping), the connection to the mobile, the easy installation, and the very good image quality make it an excellent value for money choice for anyone looking for a camera for home use.

Very good choice for the money. It did not recognize the bar code to connect automatically, but I followed the voice instructions (English) and connected easily.

The camera, although it is for indoor use, meaning it has no waterproofing, I have placed it on the balcony with just one insulation on the speaker, and it has gone through the entire winter enduring all the rain without any problem

A decent choice for its price. I found that I would like better resolution (clearer) when I zoom in to see details. Also, for the notifications during motion detection, it was found that it appears in the app (e.g., mihome) and NOT as a notification on the phone so that you can check it on the spot.

Very good camera with very clear image, day and night.. After about a year of use, I have started to have some issues with the SD card, though I don't know if it's a problem with the card or the camera because I haven't tried another card, I will update in a new post about this issue.. And another negative is that it only takes memory cards of 16 and 32 gb and not any larger ones..

With this money, this purchase is truly worth it. We have had it for quite a while, about 4 months, and after the software upgrade, everything is even better. We bought the SD card according to the product instructions and have been recording 24/7 for a week. We mainly use it for home monitoring and for the dogs when we are away.

At its price, you must be foolish to look for details.. it is flawless; to get a similar one in hic-vision, you need at least €100
