The ISOMAT AK 12 is a high-quality cement-based tile adhesive, reinforced with polymer ingredients (resins). It provides high initial and final bonding strength and resistance to moisture. It has zero slip and a long open time for bonding. It is classified as a C2 TE adhesive according to EN 12004.
Application areas: The ISOMAT AK 12 is suitable for bonding granite tiles and generally absorbent and non-absorbent tiles, on walls or floors, on various surfaces, especially where high adhesion and resistance to moisture are required. It can be used indoors and outdoors.
Technical characteristics: Form: cementitious mortar Colors: gray, white Water requirement: 7.50 l/bag 25 kg Application temperature: from +5ºC to +35ºC Application thickness: up to 10 mm Container life: at least 6 h Open bonding time: at least 30 min Adjustment time: at least 30 min Slip: ≤ 0.5 mm Grouting on the wall: after 3-8 h Grouting on the floor: after 24 h Adhesion after: 28 days: ≥ 1.40 N/mm2 heating at +70ºC: ≥ 1.00 N/mm2 immersion in water: ≥ 1.00 N/mm2 25 cycles of freezing-thawing: ≥ 1.00 N/mm2 Temperature resistance: from -30ºC to +90ºC Measurements were made according to EN 12004.
Elasticization: In substrates subject to vibrations or intense expansion-contraction, such as plasterboard, particleboard, floors with underfloor heating, terraces, balconies, etc., the elasticization of the adhesive is considered necessary. This is achieved by adding 5-10 kg of ADIFLEX-B to 25 kg of ISOMAT AK 12 and a quantity of water depending on the desired workability.
Consumption: 1.5-4.0 kg/m2, depending on the size of the notches of the trowel and the type of substrate.
Shelf life - Storage: 12 months from the production date, stored in the original, sealed packaging, in a moisture and frost-protected area.
