In 2017, it marks 95 years since the establishment, in 1922, of the Federation of Communist Youth of Greece, the heroic OKNE!

The Memories of the life of OKNE were written by Avra Partsalidou in 1965, while she was imprisoned in the AVEROF prisons. It was not possible to publish them then in Greece because the military coup intervened and the imposition of the seven-year dictatorship of the colonels (1967-1974).

At the initiative of the Central Council of KNE, a reissue of this book is being made. The aim is to widely disseminate it and to serve as yet another opportunity for the new generation of communists, members and friends of KNE, and the youth in general, to connect with the militant traditions of the KKE and KNE, and their deep roots in the history of the working-people's movement in our country and internationally.
