Pip lives in the marshy area of the English countryside with his older sister and her husband, Joe. One day, he encounters Magwitch, an escaped convict, who asks him for help. Pip is then invited by Miss Havisham, a wealthy but eccentric woman, to meet Estella, a beautiful girl whom he immediately falls in love with.
