In 2 months, the mechanism that opens the flip broke on the €26 phone case. I bought a new one, and this time it broke in 6 months. After 9 months, the leather lining also broke. And over time, when I removed the glass to clean it, the plastic from the mechanism broke. Very bad in all aspects
I actually bought the helmet mainly for its color, which makes you highly visible from afar, and for the fact that it is foldable, which is important for me. I am generally satisfied. The padding is easy to remove for washing, as is the visor. A few days ago, I completed 4 years of daily use with it. Everything still works properly. My biggest complaint is that the top of the helmet has faded from the sun. So, it seems that their colors or varnishes did not have the appropriate filters. It is no longer that vibrant yellow, but a washed-out dirty white. The other parts that are not exposed to the sun are still okay. I know, some of you might say a helmet is for 3 years... but that's just not possible. I will get another helmet, maybe in white this time, although I really like this electric yellow!
The opening mechanism broke in two months. It was replaced within the warranty and broke again, for which I was charged 26 euros. Guess what... It broke again. Stay away.
I have been using it for about 2 years daily both in and out of the city. In the city, it is better to ride with the visor of the helmet open for safer driving. On national trips with the visor closed and earplugs. The interior pads are durable and washable.
The weight strains the neck during long trips. This means that a neck collar would be useful.
As for the intercom application, the adjustment is very good.
Overall, it is an honest helmet and worth its money.
I had the Duke II and I switched to get this one. Overall, it is a good helmet without noise and convenient, but its plastics do not justify its price. They seem very low quality that you would find in a €60 helmet.
Heavy helmet and I don't see a reason for anyone to pay more than 120€.
On the positive side, it doesn't have a tremendous noise for a flip-up.
Overall, it's mediocre.
After 5-6 months, the Flip-Up mechanism broke, resulting in the helmet not closing. The warranty, of course, does not cover it. I got it in matte black and even the slightest touch leaves a visible mark. Very poor construction quality. Moreover, it is bulky, so it doesn't fit under the scooter seat, and you need a lot of pressure to make it fit. Money wasted. I regret it
After 2 months, the wire that opens the 2 locks has come out, and it doesn't open the flip-up, it has happened several times, after 5 months the button that opens the flip-up has broken, the red one, it has snapped in half, it just stayed in my hand, I started opening the helmet with the wire that was left, and since that wasn't enough, the springs had to break and both of them that kept the flip-up locked, and now I'm riding with an open helmet because the flip-up doesn't lock anymore. The sun visor is very bad compared to other helmets I had, it doesn't cover well, the sun is visible, and it's not that dark, that's quite bad. Whoever is reviewing it should do it after 1 year of use. I bought it last May.
Very good construction. The installation of the extra visor that comes with the helmet is necessary in order to avoid fogging problems. Maybe I would like a bit more distance from the chin. Also, the shading visor is borderline if you have a slightly bigger nose.
For the price I got it (125 euros on sale), it is simply amazing....I have been using it for a year and it has never dropped below 185 euros. So LONG LIVE!!!!!
A beautiful helmet with good quality materials offering a sense of safety when wearing it. On a scooter trip with a high visor at speeds of 150-160km, there is an internal sound, but not so annoying. When it is open, you feel the weight of it quite a bit. Overall, though, I am satisfied with the purchase. Now, only time will tell about its durability.
Very good helmet for its price at 200 euros. Its materials are very good, it reminds me of a more expensive helmet.
I agree that the glasses could come down half a point more and be 1 click darker (for perfection). The only negative (which is why I gave it 4 stars) is its weight. Very heavy helmet, at least for me who also has the HJC RPHA 11 which is featherlight compared to the Caberg. It's the first time I'm using a flip-up helmet and I imagine that in general they are heavy helmets.
Those of you who have a strong neck, get it, otherwise you will feel tired after half an hour.
It cracked on the side, without any particular pressure, and without ever falling, hitting, or being squeezed! Only from the minimal opening to put it on and take it off! It also scratches very easily, even when you hold it to wear it! It's a shame because the 200€ I spent on it went to waste, and it only lasted me 1 year!
- High-quality construction. It is evident in the materials and the opening mechanism.
- The weight is good for a flip-up.
- An important advantage is that it includes a pin-lock membrane in the packaging.
- Not suitable for those with a large chin.
- It would be preferable for the sun visor to come down a little more
I just received the helmet and tried it in +3 degrees very cold weather. With a 140km ride, no air enters at all, keeping your head warm without a balaclava. Also, it doesn't fog up at all thanks to the pin lock visor that comes with the helmet. I believe I have made the best choice in purchasing a helmet.
I have had the helmet for about a year and I have been satisfied! I would prefer the sun visor to be a little darker! For speeds up to 110 km/h, the noise is barely noticeable, but beyond that, it is quite noticeable. The only negative thing that happened to me is that the top rubber that seals the outer visor had slightly wrinkled, causing it not to close completely (which can be solved by applying a little pressure on the visor), and eventually it tore in two places. It doesn't cause any negative effects while driving, except when it rains heavily, where a little water may seep inside the visor.
Very good helmet for my Kawasaki Chopper motorcycle. I am very satisfied with the kilometers I reach up to 140 kilometers. Honest helmet ⛑
The helmet is excellent. I was concerned when I bought it because I wanted to spend less money. In the end, I didn't regret it at all. It has excellent visibility, the interior can be removed and washed, and it doesn't make any noise. Even at speeds up to 120km/h, my motorcycle doesn't make any noise and I can comfortably speak with the Bluetooth. I recommend it
It is perfect in application!!!! It has very good sound insulation from outside...(unwanted noises)...you don't need to turn your whole head to look back...I feel safe wearing it...
Whatever I say will be little, whoever doesn't get this, they lose, it gives something more but knows what they will get.....
Perfect helmet! It does its job with frequent wind!
Very good helmet. Whoever wants a light one should get this, you pay 200 but you get your money's worth.
