The research (...) from 1981-1983 was initially oriented towards investigating the extended family, the institution of "bride purchase," and patrilineal groups. However, it later expanded to include residential organization (e.g., katounes).
Therefore, the coincidence reflecting a social situation during the significant governmental change, or rather upheaval, of 1981, with the legislative changes in family law that occurred then, the feminist movement in Greece (e.g., EGE), as well as the liberalization in the relationships between the sexes, is interesting.
The sexual revolution arrived late in Greece. This explains my particular concern and orientation towards relationships and the hierarchy between the sexes, eroticism, sexuality, etc., after 1981.
I also note another political coincidence at that time with the legislative changes, the return to Greece of the fighters and captains of ELAS and the Democratic Army.
