I bought the second one after two years of continuous use of the first one during the summer months. I had to change the bulb once in the first one, it's hard to find a 9V one.
The second one burned on its third night. One of the two capacitors gave up with simultaneous overheating and partial melting of the device's plastic body. Fortunately, we noticed it in time and avoided a fire.
What surprised me after examining the two circuit boards is that the new one that burned was using 4.7μF capacitors instead of the 3.3μF ones that the first one had.
I will change both of them with 3.3μF and we'll see...
I have had it for a week and I have changed its positions in the house. I have killed 30 mosquitoes and it has killed 5. The only thing it kills is night butterflies. The mosquitoes sit next to us and bite us.
Effective day and night! Insects can be heard when they are hit by electricity. The only negative thing about it is the short cable
It catches a lot of insects, including many mosquitoes, but it's not enough. I have it permanently plugged in at home along with the tablets though. Nevertheless, for 20 euros, it's fine!
During the summer months, we used it every night on vacation and at home as an insect repellent, but also as a night light. It did its job quite well, but after almost 3 years of continuous use, it broke down. I will buy the same one again...
Update June 2022 - Just bought it again.
One of the few products that does what it is intended to do.
It has exterminated dozens of annoying flying insects.
After 2.5 months of use, the bulb burned out.
This particular bulb costs 3.5 euros, it is easy to replace, but it is not easy to find in stores; I called the distributor and yes, it is available.
The distributor is in Thessaloniki.
From 2021 to 2024, I have changed the bulb three times, which was ordered from the distributor and received after five days. It still works without odors and liquids, it does what it is intended to do.
In August 2024, it still operates quietly without odors, it does what it is intended to do; the annoying small insects disappear.
Just be careful if you have small children, to place it high.
The purchase is worth it 100%
It does what it says. Very effective and with lighting that is not bothersome at night indoors.
Waste of money, in one night I killed 7 mosquitoes with the pillow, the lamp didn't kill any... I returned it the next day
It has done an amazing job! I bought it at the beginning of August and since then, it hasn't caught a single mosquito.
The only downside, if considered a downside, is that it also attracts a lot of butterflies and other insects

Very good from the first day it started to do what it promises!!
Within a month, it stopped working and became useless
Very good device for the money it costs and effective.
Tragic waste of money unless you want to use it as a light fixture!!
