There is a very important feature that is NOT mentioned in the product information: This converter will ONLY work in 1080p resolution! It is generally acceptable for connecting to a TV or projector, but if you want to use an external monitor on a laptop at its regular resolution (which is NOT 1080p), then you will NOT get an image! In my opinion, a very basic problem!
