  • Classic, beloved radio from Sangean.
I have had it for many years, since it was released, and its sound is of high quality, filling the room.
The technology in the power supply is excellent.
6 AA batteries, either alkaline or rechargeable (the switch is made with the switch inside the compartment),
while the ability to charge the rechargeable batteries from the device itself, without removing them, is definitely top-notch.
The reception of station signals is also excellent.
What I would personally like is the ability to store more stations, that is, more memories.
Unfortunately, Sangean is "stingy" with station memories,
with 5 memories on its radios, unlike the
    (formerly) Sony and Panasonic

Reference radio, a standard for all other manufacturers in EVERYTHING. Its only downside is that it lacks a carrying handle, but you overlook that.

Bought it in 2008. Excellent reception. The sound, for its size and category, is excellent. The best there is.
