Pru is smart, independent, and an artistic type. However, she is deathly bored.

Her mother pressures her to have a conventional marriage, to settle down, but she prefers to escape from London and find a peaceful refuge in Cornwall, near a beloved and eccentric aunt.

On the sandy beach of Cornwall, she meets Daniel, a young and attractive painter, and falls in love at first sight. However, he is facing a serious problem. In order not to lose the man of her dreams, Pru must take a big risk.
