The present volume is a synthetic and modular study regarding the critical relationship between democracy and foreign policy.

With a reflective background drawn from International Relations theory concerning hegemony and leadership styles in the exercise of political power and foreign policy, as delineated by the renowned operational code of Alexander George, and using empirical-analytical guidance through a thorough investigation of four distinct case studies — specifically the Attic orator and politician Demosthenes, Eleftherios Venizelos, John F. Kennedy, and Konstantinos Karamanlis — we attempt to delineate the fundamental philosophical, historical, institutional, political, and international characteristics of foreign policy within the framework of a democratic regime.
