Races take place on a dystopian, partially abandoned Earth, across 30 tracks in 6 environments. The game includes split-screen mode for racing against friends, as well as the Europa and Neptune DLCs.

Career mode features more than 100 racing events, along with 11 race types, 4 racing classes, and 7 teams. Vehicles can be upgraded in the areas of engine, magnets, structure, and energy, and there are 12 upgradeable power-ups. Multiplayer supports up to 6 players.
