The volume "Business Restructuring - Current Issues in Commercial, Labor & Social Security Law" includes 10 presentations by leading legal experts and scholars that were presented at the corresponding two-day conference held on March 6-7, 2015, at the European University of Cyprus.

The theme of the conference "Business Restructuring: Current Issues in Commercial, Labor and Social Security Law" was chosen precisely because of the importance that business restructuring presents, both during economic crises and as a means of preventing them and protecting the market and society from their consequences. However, business restructuring is not only the subject of commercial law. It touches other legal domains, where relevant legislative interventions and theoretical approaches are necessary in order to regulate the issue of business restructuring comprehensively.

For this reason, it was a common thought of the event organizers, Stamatina Giannakourou and Antigoni Alexandropoulou, Associate Professors in Labor and Commercial Law respectively, that the approach to the topic should be multifaceted and intersectoral, so as to comprehensively highlight the concept of restructuring and the specific issues that arise in various fields of knowledge.
