This book presents the proceedings of the 24th Conference of the Association of Greek Commercial Lawyers on the topic "State, Economy and Business," which took place from October 17 to 19, 2014, in Ioannina.

Initially, in the section of general presentations, Mr. N. Alivizatos presented his paper titled: "Constitution, crisis, and markets: The return of the state," as well as Ms. M.-Th. Marinos with the topic: "Regulation and deregulation in Commercial Law."

In the second section, the issue "The state as entrepreneur" engaged the delegates. Specifically, Ms. A. Mikroulea developed her presentation on the topic: "Business competition between public and private enterprises," Mr. N. Verbessos presented his paper on "State participation in enterprises and EU law," and Mr. V. Karagiannis talked about "privatizations and their limits." Ms. E. Trova discussed the topic "Public-private partnerships (PPP)," and Mr. Farandouris spoke on "The state as entrepreneur in the energy sector: Institutional, economic, and political implications."

Next (third section - round table), a discussion took place regarding the regulation and supervision of markets in the current context, featuring speakers Mr. H. Gortsos, Mr. G. Delli, Mr. D. Loukas, and Mr. D. Spyriakos.

In the fourth section of the conference, issues concerning the state as regulator and supervisor of business were particularly analyzed, and the presentations of Mr. Th. Koutsoumpas on "The limits of regulatory intervention in the financial sector," Mr. Ch. Livadas on "Supervision of business through corporate governance rules," Mr. G. Giannopoulos on "Market regulation through tax rules," Ms. E. Tziva on "The role of the state in collective processes," and Mr. N. Floros on "The responsibility of the state as regulator and supervisor" were presented.

The work also includes contributions from A. Alexandropoulou, M. Kavvathas, A. Mitsou, A. Papadopoulou, Ch. Paraskeyopoulos-Kolia, and Ch. Tarnanidis.
