THE LOVE OF A MOTHER FOR SAINT PAISIUS

A mother loves her children more than herself. If one acquires this love, they love not only those who love them but also those who harm them, because, like a mother, she justifies everything, and this person always finds excuses for others and shoulders the burden themselves. Even if they are robbed, they feel guilty if the thief is caught and imprisoned. "He was imprisoned because of me," they will say. "If I had found a way to give him the money he needed, he wouldn’t have stolen, and he wouldn’t be in prison now." Likewise, when you love your neighbor with MOTHERLY LOVE, you justify their weaknesses and do not see their faults, and even if you do see them, you forgive them.
